After doing independent on-ground research from 2017-2020 to understand first hand the water challenges faced by urban India & rural India, Dr Bhakti founded a water impact NGO called Jal Smruti Foundation in 2021. Dr Bhakti seeks to realize her vision by enabling a decentralised water ecosystem that connects water users & reliable providers of solutions while educating the water users about the solutions that are relevant to their property. The ecosystem led & enabled by Urban Water Doctor is expected to result in accelerated uptake and implementation of solutions that significantly enhance the water security of individual properties.
